Melmo, Chelsea, Cole & Toby napping
Getting ready to go out!

Cole & Pops

The last 2 weeks have gone by really fast! I forgot how busy you are when you have a baby around.
Chelsea has taken care of him for 3 nights in a row without any help, I knew she could do it, but she wants me there just in case. That is ok, I love it!

Love this pic of Cole and his Aunt K

Cole is 10 days old today, I have been very busy! Sorry no recent pics, hopefully I will get better at this.

Margie is home and her surgery went well. Christmas was awesome and of course Cole is precious. The boys were with us for the first time for Christmas Eve and we had a great time. They were able to participate in the Christmas Eve PJ tradition and everyone was a good sport.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!!

Thanks Katherine for adding the last post!!!

Cole is here! 7 lbs 10 oz 20 in long

Mom and Cole are great and Mom was a trooper, she did so good and I am very proud of her. I am also proud of Dad that cut the cord even though he thought it was going to be gross. He was great with Chelsea and to see the two of them with Cole is priceless.
Thanks to both of them for allowing me to be a part of this very special time in their life, it means so much to me. What an amazing thing to witness...All I can say is God is AWESOME! (yes I am crying right now!!)

Enough for now...more pics soon I promise.

Cole is here!

Yea! Tomorrow is the day. They are inducing Chelsea @ 8 am and the dr. says that it could be 10-12 hours (that is a long time!) I am so excited and I have to admit a little scared not sure why, I guess just for Chelsea. My baby is having a baby...I can't believe it.

So, tomorrow I will officially be a Grandma...aka Melmo. The next post will have pictures of Cole for you to enjoy!

Say your prayers that he is healthy and has an easy journey to finally meet us, and that Chelsea has a fast labor & delivery and quick recovery.

Here is our Christmas card, thanks to Katherine...I used your idea! Don't worry I have a very special one on its way to Longview!!
I am still awaiting my grandson!! On 12/10 the Dr. said that Chelsea was dilated to a 2 and 70 % effaced, so we thought for sure that he would be here by now. The plan is to induce on 12/18 if he is not here yet.
We have a lot going on over the holidays, my sister Karen is going on 12/18 for the 1st round of chemo maintenance. She has non-hodgkins lymphoma and is in remission but has to have these maintenance treatments. She will have the treatment once a week for 4 weeks for now and then do this again in 6 months...I think, I am not sure. She is very upset that this is scheduled for the 18th since she is going in the delivery room with us...(me & Kyle). She is going to wait to see if Chelsea has him before she tries to reschedule, she doesn't think that the dr. will be very happy if she has to.
My stepmother, Margie, is have heart valve replacement surgery on 12/23, she is 84 so this is a little risky with her age, she is however in very good health. I am really worried about my Dad, he worries more than I do.
Of course we want to keep GG as healthy as possible, I don't have room on the schedule for a hospital visit for her this year! We did Thanksgiving and almost Christmas in the hospital last year...we will pray for a healthy holiday for her.

We had a really great weekend!!! Brian, Katherine, Ava & Lola came for a visit and stayed the weekend. Lola is precious and Ava is always my baby girl even though she is getting so big! Brian and Katherine are so much fun to be around, most of the time when you are with younger people they make you feel old, but Mike & I decided that they make us feel younger, which of course make us love them more.
We did a little shopping while Mike and Brian made fun of us for both coming to them separately with the same phrase...this was 24.00 and is on sale for only 7.99...they thought this was really funny. I have to say that we were totally serious with this line of thinking. Then we went for Sushi and drove around looking at Christmas lights.
We did a lot of laying around and playing with the girls! Thanks for coming to see us, we can't wait until you move back to Dallas!

Look at me...with a page all my own!! Not exactly sure what I am doing, but I am just going to wing it. I am sure that Katherine will help me!!

I have a daughter, Chelsea. I am married to Mike and he has two sons, Austin & Logan. My grandmother (GG) that is 92 lives with us and keeps us on our toes. Myrtle takes care of GG while I work and she is wonderful! She does the wash and I can't believe how blessed we are for that!! Everyone is jealous!

We have 3 dogs, Tasha (toonini), Toby (tobyman, puker bear...too many to list) & Tate (taterbug), 1 love bird, Daisy (daisy doo) , and 1 dwarf hamster, Dash. Toby rules the house, I am sure you will realize that in future blogs.

Chelsea is married to Kyle and they have 3 dogs, Jaxx (mus mus) , Brandy (fat girl) & Chase (chay chay)
I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my grandson..Cole. He is due on Christmas Day, however we are ready for him any time!! The only recent babies in my life have been Ava and now Lola....Of course the Tobyman as well, but he is 13 and a dog. Please don't tell him though, he doesn't know.
